General Course Description

This class is designed to introduce mountain biking skills to the physical education class. This non-traditional activity was chosen to break up the monotony of traditional Physical education class. In addition, the class offers recreation and challenges in an outdoor setting. The class will meet each day of the week for two weeks and focus on mountain biking skills and experiences. The goal is to give the students a chance to practice and improve their bike riding abilities.

Attendance

Your attendance is required in order for the student to gain all the benefits from the class. Any combination of unexcused absences and non-dress days equaling three will result in the lowering of the final grade by one grade. Each single absence or non-dress after that will result in the lowering of your grade by one grade. Absences will only be excused for emergencies, illness (with note from parents or doctor), or approved school activities. Arrangements may be made with the instructor to make up missed assignments only if absence is excused.
