Meet in the middle of football field.
SETT - Lesson on the technique of catching in lacrosse. Huddle up. Takes good hand eye coordination.
Catching
 

1.  Shoulder position

Have leader of each squad get and pass out equipment.
 
 

Give instructions on where to go.
 
 

Have students partner up.
 
 

Have students critique each

Give each pair a ball and let them work on throwing and catching.
 

1.  Turn non throwing shoulder toward target.
2.  Stagger feet shoulder width apart.
3.  Upper hand is even with shoulders and it also controls the stick
4.  Place lower hand about 6-8 in. from body.
5.  Hold stick at 45 degree angle, head facing the throwing direction.
6.  Draw body weight to the rear leg and then transfer weight to front leg smoothly.
7.  Upper body turns from a side position to facing the target(ball).
8.  Upper hand draws back and follows through with a wrist snapping action.
9.  Lower arm is bent at the elbow.
10.  Lower hand pulls down on the end of handle.
11.  The stick will end up, pointing at the target in a horizontal plane.
Closure
1.  Ask questions on technique.
2.  Check for understanding.
Collect equipment.

Bring students in around teacher.
