PARENT INFORMATION
To the parent/guardian of:

Enclosed is an  outline for the next unit we will be doing in our Physical Education class.  This unit is part of our Alternative Activities portion of the class.  In this Alternative Activities portion I will introduce such sports as Lacrosse, Team Handball, Juggling, Unicycling, etc.

The particular unit that we are working on first is Lacrosse.  Lacrosse is a sport that is very popular on the eastcoast and is slowly becoming popular on the westcoast.  My hopes for teaching this unit is an appreciation for a game that is not readily taught in physical education classes.

I have planned for this unit to take 2 weeks to complete.  At the completion of the unit, I will be giving the students both a writing as well as a skills test on the fundamentals, history, and rules of the game of Lacrosse.  Please feel free to contact me if you have any concerns or questions.
