CPR BASIC STEPS:
Introduction of CPR to class:
If someone is not breathing they must be attended to immediately. Rescue breathing is used to maintain an airway and cause air to flow in and out of the lungs. Rescue breathing should be continued until the victim can breathe for themselves or a doctor or other trained individual person takes responsibility.
The six following steps are to be used a guide and a reminder. Students should try to attend a CPR training course offered by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
The Six Steps can be used as task cards and can be found on the Developmental Analysis Home Page .

Assignment for tomorrow:
Students are to go onto the internet  and print out a personal CPR Pocket Guide ( 10 points)

CPR TEST:
In order to be checked off as CPR ( unofficially) certified the students must perform the following:
1. Identify the six basic steps (orally)
2. Give an oral description of the steps
3. Complete two full rounds of the six steps without stopping
