The proper
fit is important with the touring bicycle. Many hours at a time may
be spent on your bicycle and comfort is very important to a successful
ride.
Seats:
padded seats are a must with the long
rides
Handbars:
should be comfortable grips and height should allow for back to be at a
45 degree angle
Seat
height: slightly
bent knee when pedal is at its lowest point, about 2 inches below seat
height
Toe
clips: The toes clips prevent
the feet from sliding. The feet usually start to slide after the
body becomes fatigued. When the feet are not in the proper position
it increases the chances of fatigue and erratic technique.
