The Touring Bicycle

-Bicycle Touring-

The proper fit is important with the touring bicycle.  Many hours at a time may be spent on your bicycle and comfort is very important to a successful ride.
Seats: padded seats are a must with the long rides
Handbars:  should be comfortable grips and height should allow for back to be at a 45 degree angle
Seat height:  slightly bent knee when pedal is at its lowest point, about 2 inches below seat height
Toe clips:  The toes clips prevent the feet from sliding.  The feet usually start to slide after the body becomes fatigued.  When the feet are not in the proper position it increases the chances of fatigue and erratic technique.
