Through out this unit plan students will be graded on a quiz, a journal, daily activities, daily participation, a menu project, task cards and the backpacking trip at the end of the unit. The quiz is worth 26 points, the journal is worth 40 points, daily participation is worth 10 points, the project is worth 10 points, the task cards are worth 20 points and the backpacking trip is worth 20 points.

Backpacking Trip Assessment

The backpacking trip at the end of the unit will last three days.  We will be backpacking to Mystic Lake which is near Mt. Rainier. We will be leaving on a Friday afternoon and returning on Sunday evening.  Students will be graded upon attending the backpacking trip and how well they used the information they learned in the previous  lessons on the backpacking trip. Cooperation, participation and behavior will also be observed and included.
