During the past two weeks your child has been participating in an archery unit in their PE class.  The basic knowledge and skills related to archery have been introduced and developed throughout this unit, this knowledge will give the students a base on which skills may be further developed, so they may continue to participate in this activity for a lifetime if they choose to do so.  Each student who applies themselves and attempts to improve their skills can be successful.  This unit is part of a sequence of units that will emphasize outdoor activitives, which are an alternative to the standard sports activities usually presented in physical education classes.
