I was raised in the service industry - as my family was in the Restaurant Business.
I'm the 2nd of 8 children, raised in the country with lots of room to roam, horses and cattle.
I have two children, ages 10 and 12, and currently reside in Ellensburg.
I enjoy horseback riding, hiking, exploring and all four seasons with my children.

Education:

B.A. in Early Childhood Education from Central Washington University (1983).
Variety of graduate classes, workshops, converences and trainings.

Philosophy:

We are dedicated to the highest quality developmental care possible for each child in a secure, homelike environment providing warmth, affection, and support.

Coming into the ECLC Centers parents will find a welcoming, nurturing, family-friendly environment. All families are welcome and encouraged to take an active interest in their childs day. To communicate with the Lead teachers and to share their concerns, questions, values and goals for their child.

Washington State Early Learning and Development Benchmarks: a resource that the ECLC uses to help guide children's development and learning.

These benchmarks provide information about the following:

Physical Well-Being, Health, and Motor Development

Social and Emotional Development

Approaches Toward Learning

Cognition and General Knowledge

Language, Communication, and Literacy

Parents can use the Benchmarks as a way to better understand what they can expect to see as their children develop and to better support and enhance their children's development and learning.
