Michele Weir
College of Arts and Humanities
One of the leading figures in vocal jazz education today, Michele Weir has earned international
recognition for her diverse talents as a teacher, arranger, singer and pianist. Along with her busy
recording and performing career, she is currently on the faculty at U.C.L.A.
Randolph Baseler
College of Business
As the Vice President for Marketing for the Boeing Company, Randy Baseler has been
instrumental in the dramatic turnaround in Boeing's market position and in re-establishing
Boeing's competitive advantage over Europe's Airbus.
Debra Prigge
College of Education and Professional Studies
CWU Professor Debra Prigge is recognized as one of the region's premiere educators in the field
of special education. She is also one of the organizers of the university's extensive Living and
Learning Community, which enables students who share a cultural or academic interest to live
in the same residence hall.

Ron Sims
College of the Sciences
Ron Sims is King County Executive and a major political figure in Washington State.
He was a candidate for Governor in 2004.
2006 Special Achievement
David Wain Coon
President of Evergreen
Valley College
San Jose, California.
In only 20 years, David Wain Coon has risen to the top of his chosen profession. After
serving as Vice President at Cascadia Community College and Vice President/Dean of Students
at the Art Institute of Seattle, in 2005 Dr. Coon was appointed President of Evergreen
Valley College in San Jose, California.
2006 Outstanding Service
Gail Jones
While serving as Director of Alumni Affairs at CWU, Gail Jones was intrumental in establishing the university's office of alumni relations and is remembered for her boundless energy and outgoing personality.
