I am an associate professor of philosophy in the Department of Philosophy & Religious Studies at Central Washington University, which is located in sunny (and windy) Ellensburg, Washington.

I have undergraduate degrees in Philosophy and Psychology from the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand (which is also where I'm from; though if you want to be precise, I was born in Invercargill). I got my Ph.D. in Philosophy at Rutgers University in 2006.

My research is mostly in the philosophy of mind and psychology, with side-interests in epistemology and some other things. I love teaching, and have taught a wide range of courses at all undergraduate levels. I am also developing an interest in philosophy for children (P4C).
